Here at WEMOVE, it’s much more than just house removals, we add value to our community by lending a hand to those who need it most. In fact, it’s one of our core values to ‘do the right thing.’
Over the past 3 years, we have been immensely proud to have worked hand in hand with a fantastic local charity called ‘The Isabel Baker Foundation’.
This was set up in memory of Isabel Baker who passed away from Leukaemia eight days after her first birthday, after being diagnosed at 3 weeks. Their mission is to support bereaved parents of children with cancer, experiencing financial difficulty, in the months following their child’s death. They do this by providing grants after referrals from a health care professional. There is currently no financial support for bereaved parents from the government, so the money raised by this wonderful charity is invaluable at such at unimaginable time.
Over the past 3 years in between carrying out over 1000 house removals in Bournemouth we have been lucky enough to help them with; two plane pulls, cake sales, annual glow gold events & their recent charity gold ball. This has helped raise a total of just under £10,000.
As well as this, Adam is so passionate about the cause, he regularly has catch ups with their team to help organise the many wonderful events they put on (if they buy the cakes)
Please do check out their site and the photos below of what we have been up to.
Lastly please do get in touch if you would like to help at one of our future events with them – talktous@wemovesouth.co.uk
